Dr. Pollack is methodical and careful in her handling of the pills that she prescribes. I first went to her when another doctor had suddenly taken me off a strong medicine which made me very sick and needed hospitalization. She put me back on it immediately and cautiously in six months she weaned me of it and on to one that was much easier to deal with.

She listens and helps me develop plans. I highly recommend her and her gentle manner.

She is very gentle and knowledgable and I very much trust her judgment, but she tends to run late and move slowly. At times, I find that it cuts into my time with her (for example, she may spend several minutes during our sessions looking something up on the computer for me rather than just writing down the name of the person/book/podcast/vitamin supplement/etc that she wants me to look into so that I can look into it myself later). Her appointments tend to start late but she usually ends them very promptly. One time she ran late with me and once she realized it she kind of abruptly rushed me out of her office which was a bit disruptive.
That being said, she knows what she is talking about, is extremely compassionate and thorough, and I feel safe and comfortable in her office. So all in all I think she is a great provider.

They had a huge selection of magazines in the waiting room, but they were ready for me right when I got there. They're very flexible with their appointment times. Whenever I want an afternoon appointment, they're able to get me in, and whenever I want a morning appointment, they're able to fit me in as well.
