I have never met a doctor who was so utterly indifferent. Perhaps it is because you have to buy into his "Patch Adams" act first. If you're impressed by the act and his multicolored stethoscope, then perhaps he treats you differently. I had to DEMAND a referral to orthopaedics at Walter Reed so that I could get both my hands repaired for carpal tunnel. His "hesitancy" was due to the fact that his father had less than stellar results with his surgery. Honestly, I am sorry for his father, but when I have to alternate hands to drive the car because of numbness, I think it is past time. When the pain keeps me up at night, and I haven't had a full night's sleep in several weeks, I don't care what his father went through. By the way, I had stellar results with my carpal tunnel surgeries, and only mild nerve damage in one hand.

The last straw was after I was hospitalized for severe intestinal bleeding, transfused, and was released with blood loss anemia. He attributed by anemia as "chronic" anemia in his report. HOW IN THE HELL WOULD HE KNOW???? Not once as his patient did he ever order labs on me. Any labs that I had done prior to our doctor/patient relationship indicated NO HISTORY OF ANEMIA EVER. After I complained loudly to Patient Affairs and demanded a change of physicians, the report was amended that my anemia was due to severe blood loss.

He's great for renewing prescriptions, and if that is what you are looking for, you have found your doctor. I moved on, and have never been happier.
