I was a patient of Dr. Misra because I developed gallstones and this led to bile duct blockage and pancreatitis, which caused me to be septic, in other words, I had a systemic infection, or "blood poisoning". Unfortunately, I became critically ill on the weekend. Therefore, Dr. Misra was on call. Heput me through the most painful endoscopy with very little, insufficient, medication. I cried out as best I could and struggled in an effort to communicate how much pain I was in. I was hospitalized for 5 days yet my gall bladder was not removed. I had to come back 10 days later, being in continuous severe pain, before it was removed. I also became septic again. I asked Dr. Misra to check for this by drawing blood, but he said it was "unlikely" that I had another infection. Two days later, I was still in severe pain, and was having chills and hot flashes with an elevated temperature,so I went to the hospital, as I could not get an appointment at his office. They drew blood and again I was septic. In conclusion, I had such substandard, inhumane care, that I want to let others know what a horrible experience I had so that they can hopefully avoid what I wet through.
