I was a patient of Dr. Billingslea for 4 years and he was the best doctor I ever had. He diagnosed me quickly or referred me to a specialist that could. He was very concerned over all my health issues and they always scheduled me in within a few days of calling. The staff is very helpful and polite. Couldn't ask for any better.

I have been seeing Dr. Billingslea for a few years. If I go for routine things, it's alright, however there have been several strikes against him. Each worse. This one is written on the final straw and I would like to share them with you.
1. Significant other had gone to him regarding his Arthritis. Was referred to a specialist. S/O went into Dr Billingslea periodically for med refills. After about a year, Dr. Billinglea looked at, saw his hands and asked him if he had arthritis.
2. I went to see Dr. Billingslea for a couple of items, as I usually go in with list, not going very often. First item was taken care of pronto, second item needed a prescription so he was emailing the prescription over, had trouble with his computer. It took almost 10 minutes for him to get it sent off. I told him that I had another issue. He asked what that was, I told him and he said I had to make another appt , that my time was up. I think I thought he was joking, and he looked me dead in the eyes " I am serious, your time is up, you will have to make another appointment!" As I followed him out the door asking him if it was anything I should be worried about, he stated that was why it was a 15 minute thing, not a 2 minute thing.
I almost stopped going to him then, but me being a forgiving person, made another appointment and it took him 2 minutes to do an evaluation.
Strike 3 - Final Straw:
I went to Dr. Billingslea the end of July 2014 due to a cough from nasal drip. He has treated me for this before, always telling me to take Claritan and a netti pot. I had been taking the Claritan, but went home used the Netti Pot, to no avail. Went back to the doctor a few days later, in which I had told him that I had looked on line and even though I had never had heartburn before, it stated that that could cause nasal drip and cough. Since this cough had lasted far to long and was rather annoying, I tried a Prilosec. The nasal drip stopped immediately, but it settled in my throat and I went back to the Dr, where he prescribed some for me. I had told him that also what had happened when I took this, that it felt that my chest cavity had been pumped full of gas and gave me the worst heartburn, which I had never had, and indigestion, which I had never had beyond Holiday meals. He gave me the prescription anyway, which I took another day and stopped, the heartburn was too much. I went back to him on August 1, 2014 and asked him about the BP medication I was taking, Lisinipril is known to cause a cough. I had asked him about it a few years before and he said no, bu the cough was getting worse, so he changed my prescription. I also asked him if I could have a cough medication as I was not getting any sleep at night. I was up all night coughing. He prescribed a Hydrcodone Syrup, which I only took one night. Did get a nights sleep, however I woke up so violently ill, that I was down all the rest of the next day. Between that and the change of BP Meds. I had asked him if he thought it would be a good idea to go to the coast as the heat was really getting to me. It had been in the high 90's, on the coast 60's. He said it would. So 2 days after seeing him went to the coast. That was 8-3-14. In the meantime I was using anything and everything to get rid of the cough that was keeping me up at night. By this time it was going from my throat to my chest. 8-7-14. I was walking up a steep walkway from the beach to a parking lot of camp ground, when it felt like my lungs were collapsing. I could hardly breath, so the next morning, I asked my S/O to take me to the Emergency Room. While there, they took x-rays and within an hour, it was reported that I had Pneumonia. They gave me an antibiotic. Today is the 6th of 7 days to take this and there is no improvement. I cough all day and night 24/7. I have a hard time breathing and have an appt . with the PA today.
I really do believe that all of this could have been avoided if Dr. Billingslea would have done a smear test, or an x-ray, anything to try to find out what the problem was. Instead he let me take the lead, making suggestions, going along with anything and everything. I do not know what the outcome will be today. I will report back with what is found. I suspect they will put me in the hospital. This is on going.

The waiting room here is spacious. I never feel like I have to sit too close to someone or that it is overcrowded. Their prices were very fair. The level of care you get for the price is outstanding. The restrooms were very well-stocked at this provider's office. They always have toilet seat covers, paper towels and toilet paper and never run out. I will definitely recommend them to people I know. The chairs they had in the waiting room were pretty high quality. I thought they were nice and comfortable.
