As a 54 year old female having been a patient for over 15 years, I have yet to meet a better doctor. Dr. Hooft is caring, responsive and professional. My employer puts him "out of network" which greatly disappoints me. My current Doctor is OK but does not provide me the confidence and attention Dr. Hooft always gave me. I visited him many times before my medical issues were resolved. At no time did Dr. Hooft treat me like it was in my head. His persistence and thoroughness in tests and records got to the solution.

No, If I had known how terrible they were I never would have gone.

The office was very clean and the staff was friendly. There was no one in the waiting room, in fact the receptionist took me right back, weighed me and showed me to a room which was pleasantly surprising. I used the restroom and when I came out the nurse was waiting for me. Wow, that's service. She was very thorough and also very friendly. I waited about 5 min. For Dr. Hooft to come in. He greeted me with a hand shake, asked if I had been in before, I said no. I started to explain the reason for my visit which was that I was in severe pain and was referred to him by another Doctor. He immediately looked up my prescription history, asked me accusingly why it was that I hadn't been prescribed pain meds in a while yet I said I was still taking them??? Got up, said he WOULD NOT help me and asked me to leave his office NOW!!!!!!
I can't even find the right words to describe how this man has made me feel!! I am a single mom who has been laid off after 17 yrs. I currently have no insurance. I cannot get a job in my current state due to my severe chronic pain and am using up every last resource to support my family. I have been through massage therapy, chiropractic care, who said I was too bad off and wanted me to see an orthopedic specialist which I've been waiting over a month to get in to, my family doctor and acupuncture. I have a Tens 3000 unit, I've tried heat therapy, ice therapy, herbs, several other types of non narcotic types of pain medications, even hypnosis. Why? Because I'd rather not take narcotics. So yes Dr. Hooft, I have taken the ones that were prescribed to me very sparingly, not even remotely to kill the pain but to barely manage it!!! And after weeks of trying to ween myself off and days in between of not taking any or maybe one, my family asked me to come see you!!! My family didn't want to see me cry each day anymore and be in so much agonizing pain. And knowing that narcotics are the only thing that will make the pain manageable until next week when I could get into the specialist I chose to get help for my family!! And based on the contents I read in the link below, it sounds like you are the type of man that puts yourself first before your family based on what you did. And to think I did my research on you based on my referral BEFORE I went to see you and read this article and chose NOT to judge YOU only for YOU to so harshly judge me after 3 minutes or less.

I give this business half a star based on the staff and nurses only! I will never forget how Dr. Hooft treated me and wouldn't refer him to my worst enemy.

They paid close attention to me and all of my questions were answered. Dr. Hooft is someone I can really talk to...he is direct, honest, and gives me great feedback. He's the first doctor I've met that really treats me like an equal, with respect. I highly recommend him and his staff. I will absolutely return.
