Dr Pohl is an excellent OBGYN, I would highly recommend him to any woman. However, his office staff is not so great. Every time I need to have blood drawn, I leave the office with blue and purple arms. Next the office manager is very two-faced, she will smile in your face, but never is willing to help you with simple questions, and will always answer "I don't know". I would not recommend to choose this doctor, since you end up spending more time with his staff rather than him.

Dr. Pohl is awesome! I have been under his care for years. He delivered both of my sons. No matter how busy the office may be, he always has time to answer my questions, without my feeling rushed for time. The ladies at the front are very friendly and personable. When you call the office, you don't get an automated system - a person answers every time. I am very thankful for being under his care for my OB/GYN matters! :)

I experienced three miscarriages under Dr. Joseph Pohl's care that I now know could have been prevented. At the time I insisted that there must be a clinical explanation for my losses, but he repeatedly stated that nothing was wrong and that “miscarriages happen.” In hindsight, I was foolish to continue to believe him, but I trusted him. Further, after each loss I only received a cold and clinical phone call from his office staff with test results confirming the miscarriage. Dr. Pohl never personally consulted with me following the miscarriages. He would only say ‘try again.’ Recently I saw another doctor who immediately ordered a series of tests upon reviewing my medical history and I was diagnosed with a blood clotting disorder commonly associated with recurrent pregnancy loss. This disorder is treatable and if I had been given the appropriate mediation during pregnancies I would have not lost three children. I hope this serves as a cautionary tale to others so that they don’t ever have to experience what I did.
