I work at St. Joseph's Hospital as a staff nurse. His patients always do exceptionally well. He is not overly friendly, but he is the best endocrinologist. He is highly intelligent and very respected by other doctors and staff. He is very specific in his care of each patient. I refer my friends and family to him. I will let him know when I see him again about the negative feedback on his office staff.

I was leery after reading the reviews on here but he is close and I was able to get in (some serious issues here). The reviews are PERFECT. I figured out who "Toni" is when I walked in the door (she was surfing the web with a pig sty desk.
Dr Black is a gem! An odd sense of humor, really knows his stuff and truly cares (how many drs give you their cell phone # on a friday to call them on a saturday to tell them how a new med is doing? WoW.
-that said the office is in very poor repair (cracked tables, very very out of date), and when Tony could not be bothered to look something up online (see above)I basically told her 'I see the online reviews are TRUE, I will NOT deal with you ever again, she sputtered and her co worker (trying NOT to laugh) took my papers and said "I won't be mean to you, ever I promise". Will I keep seeing Dr Black- YES. will I put up with the office BS? No way. my health is worth it.
