I read the reviews before going to Dr. Black and was prepared for the mean staff. I tried to be as friendly as possible with them and even took cookies one time. However, nothing can break the barrier of Toni. She won't smile and she won't do anything to be accommodating whatsoever. The rest of the staff are okay, but certainly not a friendly bunch. You get the sense that they hate their job and their life. I'm PAYING to go there, for goodness sake, can you not at least smile? Dr. Black is friendly enough, but he is hard to understand. When going over my test results I had no idea what he said and didn't even know what questions to ask. I started to write down some of the results and he said that I would get a copy of the bloodwork. Ha. You have to pay $25 if you want to have any of your results. In this day in age of technology, there is no excuse for not being able to at least get a scan of your results. They charge it for sending records to other doctors, but this is for my own personal use. Ridiculous. I'm already paying plenty for the tests and should be able to see my OWN results. I left completely confused and frustrated. I will be going to another doctor to get treatment for my hypothyroidism. I really tried to go into this with a good attitude, but there just isn't any reason to tolerate the attitudes and policies of this office when there are so many other practices out there. I suggest you go somewhere else.

I like Dr Black, he is very thorough and seems interested in my health. The staff seems annoyed sometimes if you call them and they don't return phone calls.

He never gave me the information I sought. He started out trying to communicate, but as time wore on he answered fewer and fewer questions, just shuttled me out the door. He missed my CANCER! Some of the staff was rude, gave me the impression what THEY were doing was much more important than me. They were pleasant enough when I walked in the office but that was it. When I needed copies of records they were snotty. They didn't help me as much as I was hoping and didn't answer many of my questions. He ran up bills for zillions of tests over a period of a year while I suffered, and still he missed the cancer. With one test he proudly proclaimed, "No side effects!" But I hung over a bucket in the lab vomiting for an hour, while they drew bloodwork. I looked up the test when I got home, and vomiting was the main side effect. So he lied. The office was easy enough to find but I will never visit them again.

Not only were they able to provide everything they promised me, they went above and beyond and exceeded my expectations. I've been other places that left me unattended for quite awhile, but not here. They would never leave me unattended and they always go the extra mile to make me feel cared for. I was completely at ease during my appointment here. They went to great lengths to make sure I was completely relaxed and comfortable the entire time. They've never dismissed any of my concerns as unimportant, and take every concern of mine very seriously.
