I found this office to be very dishonest with insurance claims and billing. I have been current requesting my bills for service for the last 8 months, I have how considered fighting them with BBB, and Delta Dental, and any other organization that can help me discredit the business practices regarding billing. Look at your bills closely and question everything.

I would agree with the other person they gave me a plan that amounted to $10,000 worth of work. They didnt even address the fillings that i clearly needed. They also said that i needed to remove and replace all of my other fillings. After getting a second opinion my costs werent nearly as high a lot of the itmes they said i needed were optional items if i wanted them done.

Long Beach Dental Arts consistently and repeatedly pushed items and services that I believe were unnecessary.

After consulting with my previous longtime dentist and seeing a new dentist after moving to Denver my suspicions were confirmed. My new dentist actually laughed when I reported Long Beach Dental Arts had always tried to sell me bottles of chlorhexidine (a prescription mouthwash) and that the staff of Long Beach Dental Arts acted like it was some great burdeon when I'd ask for a prescription instead.

My teeth are the type that will likely never have a cavity but gum disease is a concern. That's why it surprised me when a doctor at Long Beach Dental Arts (who wasn't the one I usually saw) sat down, glanced at my teeth and declared that I would benefit from "preventive resin restoration" which boiled down to preemptive fillings on locations that weren't yet cavities and surprise surprise weren't covered by my insurance and would be paid out of pocket, and then immediately produced a color brochure touting the benefits of "preventive resin restoration."

Lastly, Long Beach Dental Arts always billed my 4-month interval routine cleanings as "perio-maintenance" (aka more expensive). After moving out of Long Beach I went a year without seeing a dentist. When I finally did see one here in Denver my new dentist informed me that even after a year of neglect a perio-maintenance was unnecessary and billing the visit as a routine cleaning was sufficient.
