Not sure why he has bad reviews on here, this Doc was a fine psychiatrist and very empathetic when I saw him years ago.

This Doctor is the WORST psychiatrist I have ever worked with. He did not believe in empowering the consumer. He did not allow me to be a participant in my treatment plan. He gave me Depo-Provara to combat symptoms of OCD and adolescent self harm behavior. Being that I'm male, this drug had major side effects. Initially, I refused the drug. His answer to my refusing the drug was to put me in the quiet room "INDEFINITELY"! An attorney from patients rights quickly intervened. Captane is incompetent and has just enough medical knowledge to put a client at great risk. At least, this was my experience. Avoid at all costs!

I would definitely recommend him to all my friends and family. I think anyone would benefit from seeing him. Since I started visiting him, I'm better than I've been in years. He is very talented and has been able to help me recover more quickly than I would have been able to. I was very satisfied with my visit. He was helpful and I left feeling encouraged. I haven't seen any coupons or discounts for this provider's office, but I haven't really looked. He has never mention anything about promotions when I'm there.

I first came into contact with Captane when dealing with the trauma related to having been molested as a child. Unfortuantely, this "doctor" sided with the child molester who was also a psychiatrist. (And who has since been convicted for his crimes.)

If you have SERIOUS issues to deal with, Captane is probably not the person most competent to help you.

Dr Thomson paid close attention to me and all of my questions were answered. His staff was very friendly and professional. I was very satisfied with my visit. He was helpful, and I left feeling encouraged. I didn't have any trouble finding the office. I will absolutely return.

Very good for medication maintenance and was well informed in how newer medications worked and what was the best option for me. Allowed me to feel like a partner in making decisions about my own healthcare.

Dr. Thompson is a very caring, good humored physician. he really cared and I was blessed to find him. Very helpful advice that helped immediately. He also has a co-physician that helps sometimes.
