Dr. Joel Isackson is a compassionate, caring, professional physician and you could not pay me to use another doctor ... he saved my life. I didn't have the usual symptoms associated with liver disease except for a slightly elevated blood test. Dr. Isackson said I should have a cat scan and sent me to the S. Mark Taper Foundation Imaging Center in Los Angeles.

They thought they saw something, so he ordered a MRI, which produces a much clearer picture. One look was all they needed to see that I had a very large malignant tumor in my liver. On August 31, 2006, I was diagnosed with Hepatocellular Carcinoma aka Liver Cancer. My tumor was so large that if it grew another 5 millimeters, I would NOT be a candidate for a liver transplant. On Dec 27th, 2006, I had a liver transplant and my liver cancer is currently in remission.

If Dr. Isackson had waited instead of sending in for a cat scan, my tumor would have grown too large and I would have died. He saved my life.
I had been a patient of his before this episode and I always felt that he a great physician. Now I have proof. Take my word ... you will not find a better doctor in the state of California.
