I came here as a new patient to get tested for TB, as I'm planning on entering child care services where TB testing is required (mind you, this was my first time getting the test done and the nurses knew this). I paid $22 to have my TB test done on a Wednesday. The nurse told me that I "could come back on Friday for the results anytime between 9 and 4."

Well, since I hadn't been asked to make an appointment, I figured I would just go in sometime the following week if I didn't have time on Friday - which I didn't. I called the following Monday to ask if my results were ready and if I could either have them read via phone, or come in to get them. The nurse tells me that while I can have them verify that they tested me, they could no longer "read" my results, so my options were to either: pay another $22 to be tested again, or go somewhere else.

I was confused as to why I would do either of these things and questioned it. She informs me (for the FIRST time) that TB testing and readings have to be done within a 48-72 hour time span. I asked her why I wasn't told earlier about this significant part of the testing. She replies, "actually, I did tell you that you needed to come in on Friday." Let me stress that when she told me this, there was NO sense of urgency in this! She didn't even schedule an appointment! It was a mere suggestion in her words and tone.

When I explained this as well as the fact that had I known I needed to have my test read in a specific time span, I would have made sure to come in. She then has the nerve to tell me that when she "asks a patient to come in, they come in." Must be nice to have an abundance of such perfect, obedient patients! Additionally, she tells me that this is the exact reason she tells a patient "not to come in on a Thursday for the TB test - because they won't be able to get the results read on time." Why in the world was I left out of this bit of information?!

I ask to speak to her supervisor and she refuses. She just puts another nurse named Tonya on the phone, who is equally as rude. She proceeds to tell me that it isn't their problem that I didn't come in and there's nothing they can do for me because that's just the way that TB testing goes. I explain that my problem isn't the fact that there's a time span on the testing. My problem is that it was my first time getting it done, the nurses knew this, and I was NOT ONCE informed about these specific and important details to the testing! When I asked her to have her supervisor contact me, she said she can't make an guarantees that he'll get back to me. How convenient.

Completely rude and unprofessional nurses - they BOTH raised their voices and talked over me/interrupted me the entire conversation, and wouldn't even take responsibility for the major details they left out of my TB testing results. Horrible, horrible staff. Do not go here - they treat their patients terribly!
