My wife was a patient in the Kingsport office, and her normal dr. was out so they sent her to Johnson City and not only were they rude but when they called her back in for a pill count and should couldn't come in immediately due to the fact she doesn't drive and I was working 12 hour shifts they dropped her immediately. Now she's in constant pain and they couldn't care less. Where's the compassion?

I am a resident of Houston, Texas. Houston (pop. 5.5 million) has the world largest medical center -- the Texas Medical Center. So you can imagine how surprised I was to receive an evaluation about my medical care from this Dr. Marc Valley in the small city of Johnson City, Tn. I cannot figure out why a doctor in Tennesee got my medical records for and evaluation and then had the audacity to send me a letter stating that my condition was such that I did not require treatment from the doctor who I use in Houston. I must say this Dr. Valley doesn't seem to observe any doctor/patient protocol because I AM NOT a medical person. I am well educated -- MBA, University of Texas at Austin but I have no idea why Dr. Valley did not go over his evaluation with my doctor. My doctor by the way is part of the Memorial Hermann Healthcare system. The scale of patient care of MHHS relative to Johnson City, Tn. is about 180 degrees --- MHHS has a chain of large hospital complexes all over the Houston Metro area. I would suggest in the future that Dr. Valley consult with my doctors at MHHS before giving me an evaluation. I have never been to Johnson City, Tn and certainly never used Dr. Valley for my healthcare needs here in Houston.
