I went to the doctor because of a digestive problem that had been going on for some time. I was brought into an examining room after a lengthy wait and my vitals were taken by a nurse. I then waited another 10 to 15 minutes in the examining room by myself. The nurse returned and escorted me to the doctor's office where he sat behind a desk. He did not rise when I came in or greet me with any courtesy. He did not even offer me a seat. When I told him my problem he cut me off before I could finish and told me to take some Pepcid AC and not to worry about it. When I told him I was interested in finding the root of the problem instead of putting a Band-Aid on it he grudgingly agreed to send me for a test. Then he dismissed me. I made an appointment for the test, and paid my copayment. The doctors office already had my insurance information. Later, on my way home, I thought about how rudely I was treated and decided I no longer wanted to deal with the doctor. I called and canceled the tests. I subsequently received a bill for $110 -- In addition to my co-pay! I did not receive any service for this bill. Stay away from this doctor! He's obviously interested in collecting fees for the least amount of effort.
