been a patient for 15 or more years. ALWAYS a kind, considerate, professional to the highest degree. UNTIL the last time i saw him. i awoke from an upper gi (my brother and father died from throat cancer) with dr. tummala speaking loud and close to my face about me needing to lose some weight. i told him i had lost almost 100 lbs and he yelled i needed to lose more. i tried to talk to him but he cut me off and stormed away. this is VERY UNUSUAL behavior as he is the BEST dr i have ever known and the kindest, most gentle soul i have ever encountered. staff seemed nervous and unusually hyper-alert to his entrance in the room. i have since spoken with staff and was told that he eats boiled eggs, drinks water and skulks around the office all day snapping at everyone. these are people who have been with him many years. i NEEEEED to see him badly but honestly afraid of this last encounter. i wish someone could read this to him and see if he is aware of his recent behavioir.
