I went for my annual tests in November. The office is claustrophobic. . A very capable doctor. She knows a lot about surgery options. She does not do obstetrics anymore. All I can say is, if she "likes' you, then you are treated in kind. If you are not liked, then you are treated otherwise like me.The office manager lacks tact or class. Its really bad. The nurse who put me in the exam room was very nice however. The doctor was gentle with the exam instrument. I am not having any more babies and I wont need a gynecologist until next year. Meh!

I made a appointment to see Doctor Anu Chakaborty when severe bleeding finally became too much to take anymore. I should not have waited to see her again for as long as I did. I thought my period was changing again. I was able to get a appointment in a few days. My two visits were okay. Later on she accurately diagnosed I had polyps causing my bleeding. One thing happened that truly concerned me. I appreciate the care the doctor gave me really. But I wish she didnt act friendly in the beginning and practically scolded me twice for not seeking attention sooner. Yes I delayed going for months, but she did not need to speak to me like I was a child. It was so strange. Dr. Jekkill, Mr. Hyde. At first I thought she was maybe joking or being a little sarcastic. I will say it again. I appreciate the correct diagnosis and correct treatment from her. Having to wear a pad every day was no fun. But the encounters became stranger after each visit. I dont know what else to say or what I will do when next years appointment rolls around??

I think Dr. Anu is great, I was nervous because it was my first visit to a ob/gyn (I had been putting it off for years) but she immediately put me at ease and made me extremely comfortable. Even though my appointment was squeezed in on pretty short notice, she spent plenty of time answering my questions, and I didn't have to wait long at all. The receptionist however was EXTREMELY unprofessional, she was chatting with the other front office staff and cursing, talking about how she wanted to beat some girl up, etc. I've never seen anything like that at a doctor's office before. I never received a phone call when my lab results were ready. Also, they somehow set me up on my parents' insurance here, even though I haven't been on it for years and gave them my current information. I am a 25 year old woman, I don't appreciate my parents getting a bill in the mail telling them I had an STD test. I will be going back because I liked the doctor so much, but if the rest of the staff doesn't improve by then I'll have to look elsewhere.

Dr. Chakaborty is medically a very, very, good doctor, BUT…. she has absolutely no bedside manner and very little compassion when she talks to you,. Last year, what disturbed me most was I found her to be very dishonest. An out point lie she told me! I knew the truth. Last April, her office took forever to call me back with, what I felt was, a serious diagnosis. My third call after a week, the office manager said “relax honey, your results ain’t in yet”. A cyst, on top of my fibroid problem is very scary to me and nothing to relax about! I don’t believe all these glowing 4 and 5 star reviews I read. I suspect the doctor or friends are self-publishing good reviews here and on other internet sites. Why? I experienced the exact SAME cold treatment and impolite staff that many women have faced before me who rated her. Harsh tone, long waits, claustrophobic office, no parking, slow diagnosis and not honest. I left this doctor’s practice in May after three years. I know I can find both smart and kindness in a doctor some where else. Don’t risk your health or your trust there. It “ain’t” worth it.

I started seeing this doctor as she was referred by a family friend. She is a nice person but when you go in for an appointment expect to wait about 5-10 mins in the waiting room and then another 20-35 minutes in the room before she sees you. She was always decent, however, after sending me to get an ultrasound for what she thought might be fibroids, it took her over 1 month to get back to me and tell me I actually had two large cysts on my ovaries. The size of the cysts were about 7cm and 9cm which is very large and after seeing another doctor, he let me know this should have been detected way earlier especially because I am so petite. When she told me I would have to have surgery she did not seem very confident in her ability to do it laparoscopically saying we may have to do an open surgery. Yet when I saw another doctor (who wound up doing my surgery) he had no doubt at all we could do it laparoscopically. I would not recommend this doctor.

I would not refer anyone to them as they entered lab results incorrectly into their software so I was told a result and scheduled for testing that I did not need. Thank God I asked for a copy of the lab report before I went in for further testing. The inaccuracy made me go to another OBGYN to repeat the test, which turned out absolutely fine. I just don't understand how a Dr.'s office can make this kind of a mistake.
