The worst gastro guy in the city, period. I was going under for an upper endoscopy at the crappy basement space he rents uptown for procedures; and as they're prepping me for the procedure he starts arguing with me about politics. I asked him nicely to let it drop, and he didn't. Instead he actually told me that I was a traitor to my country because I didn't think the wikileaks guy should be put to death by an american firing squad... and he told me this just as I slipped out of consciousness due to the anesthesia for the procedure.

When I woke up he wouldnt tell me anything about what he saw, instead insisting that his office would have my results in the next couple of days.

A couple of days came and went, no results. I called a couple of times to no avail, and here it is a year later and I STILL HAVE NOT GOTTEN THE RESULTS FROM AN UPPER ENDOSCOPY THAT I WAS CHARGED FOR.

I wish I could give him zero stars.

Stay far, far away from this guy.

I called the office to ask about the test result and Dr.Orbuch returned the call later the same day. So far I feel Dr. Orbuch is a caring doctor but I have to follow up.

Dr. Orbuch took care of my dad during his entire battle with pancreatic cancer. He was compassionate, caring and went out of his way to spend so much time with my dad while he was an in patient at Mt. Sinai over many months.

I am completely convinced that my dad lived longer because of his care and outstanding medical decisions. My family and I cannot recommend him more highly.

They didn't tell me anything about my treatment options. I left feeling very confused and frustrated. I did not feel safe at all in their care. I definitely had doubts about their qualifications. He actually told me to see a psycharistrist -- which I did -- because he felt that I had mental problems, not physical ones. Once it was proven that it was not a mental issue... he did nothing. And after my last eschophigial scope/ colonoscopy, when he gave me a "thumbs up" while I was coming out of a sedative, without speaking to my wife (in the waiting room), without any other phone call or follow up -- other than the "thumbs up" -- I was done with this "doctor". Stay AWAY -- far far away!
