Dr. Michaels showed care and concern for my podiatry condition. He was thorough and comprehensive. I would recommend him to others.

I saw Dr. Michaels for my children's warts on their feet and he treated both of them very well. After the first visit the warts looked so much better. We chose to buy the steri shoe that Dr. Michaels recommended for disinfecting their shoes, and have not had a return of the warts since! Very happy! We will definitely return if my children need it!

Dr. Daniel D Michaels discriminates against Medicare patients and I will tell you why. When I first came to see the doctor I had Medicare that covered 80% and Medigap that paid other 20%. I had no problem during my first visit the year prior to get diabetic shoes that is provided free by Medicare yearly. Later on I decided to drop Medigap because of the insurance rates were getting too high. When I came into the office to see the doctor I advised them that I didn't have Medigap anymore but I still have Medicare that pays 80%. They refused to allow me to have a doctors visit unless I paid the remaining 20%. I demanded to see Dr. Michaels which was not easy and he reluctantly saw me in his office but not a doctors visit. I asked him could you bill me he said absolutely not we demand payment immediately. Then I asked him what is the 20% that I have to pay. He looked confused and couldn't answer me at first then made up a number in his head of $150. How can you throw that figure at me when you have not even submitted my Medicare 80% claim first? Again he couldn't answer me. I told him I came in to get fitted for diabetic shoes since I am a diabetic and that Medicare pays for one pair of diabetic shoes. This guy not only wants to bill my Medicare 80% of the doctors visit, charge me $150 which I think is highway robbery. This does not add up to 20% versus the visit plus I feel I'm basically paying for my diabetic shoes. Talk about Medicare discrimination and Medicare fraud. This doctor is very greedy and only cares about money and not his patients. I would like to remind my fellow reviewers that I was a existing patient. Not some guy that just walked off the street and came in. In all my years of getting medical treatment from various doctors that accept Medicare I have never been refused treatment because I didn't have Medigap insurance to pay the difference of 20%. I told Dr. Michaels how can you demand payment of 20% when you don't even know what my total bill will be? This doctor is cold hearted and has a heart made of stone. This guy just would not work with me over a lousy 20% bill which probably would have been less than $20 had Medicare paid up to 80%, provided he would bill them honestly. I would not even give this guy half a star in this review but it's the lowest that they offer. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this guy.

I would never recommend this podiatrist to anyone. My experience was awful. I went a total of 3 times and still have no idea what is wrong with my feet. I just know he acted more like a salesman than a doctor and kept telling me I needed to buy this and that, and I kept getting mail from my insurance company of copies of letters they were sending him to determine if I really needed what he was trying to sell me the next time I went in. Not to mention, he takes your co-pay, bills your insurance and then bills you whatever insurance does not cover, just for a less than 5 minute visit.

I gave a half a star to the rest of the staff because at least they were friendly.

Not only did he not welcome my questions, he just dismissed them as unimportant. I felt like they didn't really care about helping me. All this dr cared about was money. he barely glanced at my feet. He told me he would make up a plan of care for my next visit. Next visit? U gotta be kidding, ill never go to this doctor again.
