Dr. Amjad just likes to write prescriptions. On one occasion my son had white puss filled bumps on his face which looked like a bacterial infection to me. He told me it was definitely eczema and not bacterial. Long story short, it was bacterial because I used an old prescription of antibiotic ointment and it cleared up immediately. I called him and he said "Oh well it did look kinda like impetigo" REALLY?!?! Then why did he prescribe oral steroids instead of antibiotics? On another occasion I wanted my son tested for strep throat since I had it. He didn't even swab his throat. He just said that he looked fine but if I wanted him to have antibiotics then he would write a prescription. I asked him if he could just have a one-time shot of penicillin since that's what I had. He said he would have to give him oral antibiotics afterward anyway. That's just not true. He just didn't want to do it. He and his staff do not wear gloves and the exam sticks that they use to put in your mouth have pictures drawn on them. It's just not a clean environment and I will not be taking my son back there.

One thing I noticed about their office was how absolutely fantastic it smelled. They must clean or sanitize all the time. Whenever I called with a question or concern, the staff made me feel stupid for calling. I avoided calling because I didn't want to feel stupid. They're always able to answer simple questions over the phone. They only make me schedule appointments if necessary.
