There are other Dr.s at Contemporary OBGYN that will care more about you, your questions, and ensure that you know your options and the diagnosis. Julie Glass doesn't seem to care about you, your concerns, whether you understand her diagnosis or anything at all. She seems to have lost her passion for the job ages ago, and is just being a Dr for a 9-5. As for the $$$ you spend per the care you receive....my recommendation is find another Dr.

As a women I was very pleased with Dr Glass attention and support to my need(s). I went to the Riverdale office excepting Dr Glass to be rude to me because of the reviews I read but when I met Dr Glass I felt her compassion. YES, the wait time was increditablly long but once I went in the back I felt that patience was a virtue. As a black women I went in scared because of the reviews and didn't say much to staff but when I sat in Dr Glass office she valadate me as a person and when we were done with out consultation before she open the door I ask if I could ask another question and she sat back down and continuing anwsering my question. I felt she listen to me and did not address me as a black women as a women who lives in that area (which I don't I went to that office because I wanted to see her asap I live closer to the Laural office). In all, the wait I endure was subside once I meet Dr Glass. What some people may not understand in life is as women we all have hormones. And, on any given day we may feel someone who handle our care should grant us with a red carpet but in reality we don't no what the staff or Dr. Glass has endure moments before we walk in with our on agenda. True we accept Doctors to be at our disposal like Dr were in the 70's but insurance companies has not only change for us as policyholder but for the Dr as well. So scheduling patients are being schedule maybe closer now and that means the Dr may have to have a longer office day. Truly I can not adjusted any professional rudeness . But what I can say about my first visit was when I told Dr. Glass I needed her she address me in a caring manger. And, no I did not feel she was a Suzy home maker and greeted everyone with a pie. But, when she needed to address and issues she focus and care then went back to business. While waiting in the waiting room I met another black lady who was waiting just as long as me. I ask her is the wait always like this ( I asked her this just because she was a patient not because of race ) She seem very pleasant and said I've been going to Dr Glass ever since she was 16 she's now in her mid 30's with 3 kids she's never had a problem with Dr Glass service if your a needy person you may not understand but if your a realist Dr Glass will and attend to your needs. But you must talk and speak up if you have any concerns

I was referred to Dr. Glass by my primary care physician and I am sorry that I wasted my time during the 1 visit that I went to the Riverdale office. First, my husband and I had to wait 1 hour before we could even see the doctor. When we went into the back area, the office was filthy and Dr. Glass kept yelling "Who's next? Next!" like a cattle call. Her bedside manner was HORRIBLE. This is my first child and she said insensitive things such as, "I assume that this baby is wanted?", "Let's see if you're still pregnant." and "Are you sure you have never been pregnant before?" I know that she treated my husband and I this way because the office was in a lower income neighborhood and because we are African Americans. I was a high risk pregnancy and she didn't spend any time with us explaining the risks of the pregancy and what the "plan of attack" would be. Needless to say that my husband and I never went back. We found an excellent OBGYN in Washington, DC by the name of Dr. Malcolm Desouza who is the best doctor. He took time with us, referred me to specialists and took excellent care of me and my unborn baby. DO NOT CHOOSE Dr. Glass as your primary healthcare provider if you would like for somone who cares about you and your baby, especially if you're African American and visit the Riverdale office. When I told my primary care physician about her horrible behavior and comments, she was shocked and appalled because she said Dr. Glass does not behave that way in the Laurel and Rockville offices. She only behaves that way when she assumes that the people she services are not valuable and worth her time and medical attention. PLEASE GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!
