Dr. Lewis is a consummate professional. Not only is he brilliant, but he really listens to you and takes complete care of you. His staff is very courteous, friendly, and professional. His new location is very nice with lots of parking.

Excellent doctor. Dr. Lewis has been taking care of our family for 10 years now. We were first introduced to him when my parents' physician referred them to Dr. Lewis b/c he was "super intelligent and can figure out complex medical problems that no other doctor can." Apparently, he is the doctor for doctors! Anyway, since then (my parents' medical issues are very complicated), my entire family sees him. He is super nice, patient, thorough, and really, really takes care of you. We inherently trust him and his medical expertise. His practice is very busy as they also do urgent care and occupational medicine. So, sometimes the wait is long, but oh well. The fact that they are so busy means they are good. They recently moved to a brand new facility which is super nice, clean, and modern. Last note: when we were last in to see Dr. Lewis, we overheard a couple say they drive 2 hours to see Dr. Lewis and have been doing so for years b/c he is the best. Wasn't surprised at all.

I SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT TO SEE DR LEWIS TWO WEEKS IN ADVANCE (SUPPOSEDLY THE EARLIEST DATE AVAILABLE)

I ARRIVED AND COMPLETED THE WRITTEN INTAKE PAPERWORK BEFORE MY SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT TIME.

TEN MINUTES AFTER MY APPOINTMENT TIME, I WAS BROUGHT TO AN EXAMINATION ROOM BY A MALE NURSE. MY WEIGHT, BP, PULSE & TEMP WERE TAKEN WHICH TOOK JUST A FEW MINUTES. I WAS THEN TOLD I WOULD BE SEEN BY A "PA". I SAID THAT I HAD AN APPOINTMENT WITH DR DENNIS. THE NURSE SEEMED SURPRISED AND LEFT TO CHECK. AFTER A FEW MINUTES, HE RETURNED TO TELL ME THAT I, IN FACT, DID HAVE AN APPOINTMENT WITH DR DENNIS AND THAT A MISTAKE HAD BEEN MADE IN THE "CARD" ATTACHED TO MY PATIENT FOLDER. HE SAID THAT THE DOCTOR WOULD BE IN SHORTLY AND LEFT ME SITTING ON THE EXAMINATION TABLE. I SAT, WITH NO BACK SUPPORT, ON THE TABLE FOR THE NEXT 40 MINUTES.

I OBSERVED THE ROOM WHILE I WAITED. THERE WAS NO INDICATION THAT THE PRACTICE UTILIZED ANY OF THE MORE RECENT ADVANCES IN MEDICAL TECHNOLOGY SUCH AS AUTOMATED RECORD KEEPING OR THAT IT HAD COMPUTER RELATED EQUIPMENT AVAILABLE TO BE USED AS PART OF THE EXAMINATION PROCESS RECORD KEEPING.

THERE WAS NO FURTHER COMMUNICATION FROM ANYONE DURING THE 40 MINUTES THAT I WAITED.

55 MINUTES AFTER MY SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT, WITH NO CONTACT WITH ANYONE, I LEFT THE EXAMINATION ROOM AND WENT TO THE BILLING DEPARTMENT. I ASKED THE STAFF OF THREE FOR THE MANAGER. I TOLD HER THAT I HAD WAITED 55 MINUTES FOR AN APPOINTMENT WITH DR DENNIS AND
HE HADN'T BOTHER TO KEEP IT. THE MANAGER MUTTERED SOMETHING THAT HE WAS PROBABLY SEEING
OTHER PATIENTS. I TOLD HER THAT IF THERE WAS AN ATTEMPT TO BILL MY INSURER, I WOULD OBJECT TO THE FRAUD. SHE SAID THERE WOULD BE NO BILLING - YET SHE DIDN'T EVEN BOTHER TO ASK WHO I WAS! BASED UPON MY INFORMAL OBSERVATION OF THIS "PRACTICE", IT APPEARED THAT THE BILLING DEPARTMENT STAFF COMPRISED ABOUT 30% OF THE TOTAL PERSONNEL, WHICH CREATED THE IMPRESSION THAT THERE IS FAR MORE INTEREST IN "WALLET CARE" THAN "PATIENT CARE" HERE.

IT SHOULD BE NOTED THAT THERE WAS NO APOLOGY GIVEN NOR ANY SUBSEQUENT FOLLOW UP OR EXPLANATION OFFERED AFTER I LEFT.

IT IS CLEAR THAT MAKING OR KEEPING AN APPOINTMENT TO SEE THIS DOCTOR IS A WASTE OF TIME. IT IS ALSO CLEAR THAT IT IS GROSS NEGLIGENCE TO LEAVE A PATIENT UNATTENDED IN AN EXAMINATION ROOM FOR 40 MINUTES. MISTAKES APPEAR TO BE THE NORMAL ROUTINE HERE AND THIS PRACTICE APPEARS TO BE AN UNPROFESSIONAL AND “SHOESTRING” OPERATION!

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS “PRACTICE” TO ANYONE!
