I have been a patient of Dr. Tanney's for many years. He is very professional and caring, but not all members of my family are as fond of him. He is inclined to prescribe what we call "a tincture of time", meaning that he does not rush to treat . . . or perhaps over-treat . . . minor conditions. I have never found him to be inattentive. And as I grow older, I find him to only be more attentive. He seems to believe that as one grows older, passing 50 years of age, one is more likely to have substantive needs. I should comment that I am exceptionally healthy, so my needs are minor. My daughter, on the other hand, feels that he doesn't treat her needs as the dire emergency that she sometimes feels that she is experiencing. I like him, she doesn't.
