My daughter has been going to Showvaker since she was three she is now seven. She loves going to the dentist. Showvaker is a great dentist.

Agree with caringmother11. Each of my three children were uncomfortable with this doctor's manners. My five year old son was afraid to open his mouth the first time he saw this dentist and the dentist started saying mean things like "what's wrong with him -- I have a blackbelt in karate (or something) and that's something to be afraid of." Condescending and unfriendly. Not approachable to little kids. Don't be fooled by the posters in the waiting room. But in the end I was proud -- no cavities.

I took my 3-year old daughter to see Dr. Showvaker for the first time for a first time checkup. I was extremely unsatisfied and unhappy with the experience. First impression, the office is very old, dirty, and the waiting area is cold. We waited over 30-minutes to be seen. The nurse took us to a room in the back; the room was not child friendly, however my daughter was still excited to sit on the dentist chair and put on the sunglasses that were given by the nurse, who was the only nice person in that office. The doctor came into the room, introduced himself, and started asking us questions about my daughter’s teeth and eating habits. His questions and answers were critical and judgmental. He made us feel as if we are bad parents for giving our child gummies or candy. When he approached my daughter; who has never been seen by a dentist before and is typically a shy person; he did not speak to her in a childlike language and did not attempt to explain to her what he will be doing. He immediately pushed the chair backward and inserted the mirror in her mouth with no prior explanation or soft words to ease the process. As a result my daughter started to scream and wanted to sit in my lab. She was terrified by the experience. He had no sympathy; instead, he made rude comments about how she is hot-headed and stubborn. This doctor should not be a pediatric doctor. He is an egotistic, ignorant person, who thinks very low of his patients or at least make you feel that way. I will never step foot in that office again.
