Dr. Lisanti is personable, well-educated and 100% committed to helping others achieve good health. However, a couple of things I do not like are the fact that when you are under treatment, he leaves the room and there is no way to contact him if you need help for some reason. No bell or button to press. This caused me anxiety as it is a little scary to be there with all the needles in, for sometimes 30 minutes at a time with nobody checking on you. Also, you can hear the conversations he is having with other patients because the walls are a bit thin. Dr. Lisanti is nice and knowledgeable but could explain the procedure a little bit more thoroughly for those of us who haven't had acupuncture before.

When I arrived for my appointment Dr. Lisanti seemed to be waiting for me and I didn't have to wait at all. I've been to other places where I had to wait forever after I arrived for my appointment, but not here. Dr. Lisanti was ready to see me as soon as I showed up for my appointment. I wasn't kept waiting, which was nice. The restrooms are well-stocked here and very clean. You can tell he want his clients to be as comfortable as possible. He was able to answer every single question I had. It was clear that he was trained very extensively in the methodology of acupuncture. The table I laid on during my treatment was so comfortable. I loved the table so much I probably could have fallen asleep on it.

My experience was disappointing. I selected Dr. Lisanti based on the reviews, location (proximate to my home), and focus areas (compatible with my needs). I went for skin/digestive issues as well as accupuncture for a recent ankle injury. While Dr. Lisanti seemed friendly, he consistently (even after five sessions of 1-2 hours each) called me by the wrong name. He requested my blood type after several months of visits, even though I had provided a complete report, including type, in preparation for our initial session (via my primary care provider). I found the overall level of communication lacking. As another reviewer suggested, I needed to initiate all questions to seek information; it was not readily provided during our check-ins when Dr. Lisanti gauged my pulse, looked at my tongue, or did accupuncture. It seemed less personalized than I had hoped, and perhaps my own expectations were too high. I imagine if a patient were simply going for accupuncture, the service provided would be / was fine.

This is a great place if you've had acupuncture before. I knew what to expect. However if you don't know what it's about, be sure to ask a lot of questions.
