They charge certain fees before provide services and difficult to ask for the refunds.
Integrity is questionable.

Not recommended for Children! The appointment was for my 18 month old daughter and my 5 yr old son. I was recommended to Dr bacon by the Lions Club and a reduced price. But Dr Bacon had no bedside manner he was angry every time my children touched anything or even wiggled. When giving my son his exam my son reached out with one finger to lightly touch the equipment, Dr Bacon said "How dare you touch that what makes you think you can touch other peoples things?" He asked my 5 & 4 yr old to do a puppet show for my 18 mo old while he looked at her eyes but after being berated several times the were too scared of him to really get into it. Then when it didn't work to keep her still. Which just wasn't going to happen after she had already been waiting on my lap for 10 min while I answered his questions (he would allow me to put her down). He berated them again told them they were terrible he was so disappointed in them for not doing a good job at keeping her still. If you're wondering if my children are just extremely terrible they are not. I've had strangers at the checkout line tell me how well behaved they my children are.

For parents who care about their child’s vision. Learn from my mistake. It has been less than a year since my daughter had her first and last exam with Dr. Bacon who charge me 2X the cost compare to my older daughter’s vision care. I took my daughter to see another Optometrist today because her grades in school are dropping this year. Her vision at Dr. Bacon's office was 1.25 / 1.25. Her vision now is 3.25 / 3.75 which is worst than her older sibling’s vision who has been wearing glasses for 4 years. Background: Dr. Bacon recommended a bi-focal lens program for my daughter that was advertised to slow the deterioration of visual acuity. I thought it would be a good idea since Dr. Bacon has a lab to teach children with learning disability due to vision impairment. The program covers follow up eye examinations with Dr. Bacon which his staff never scheduled. Reflecting what I have learned, the model why my daughter’s vision got worst was bi-focal on a low vertical profile lens for a first time eyeglass wearer. My daughter is used to read with her eyes looking straight instead of looking downward like my age parents with presbyopia. Her eyes got confused between the small field of view with two different focal lengths on the same lens. From a non-technical perspective, I dismissed the signs the provider is a poor fit for my daughter’s eye need. Dr. Bacon did not personally examine my daughter’s vision. He read what his intern wrote. When I asked how the bi-focal program compare to mono-focal glasses with taking glasses off when reading, Dr. Bacon became defense. The reason why I am writing this review is to share my learning with parents with children who need eyeglasses. I hope you do not make the same mistakes I did and cause irreparable harm to your child’s visual acuity.
