This place is a scam on par with one of those time-share seminars.
This is not a doctor’s office that accepts patients in a standard fashion. When I called on a Tuesday to make a new patient appointment, I was told that the "doctor" only sees new patients on Mondays and Wednesdays. It was too late for me to get time off at work the next day so I asked for a different day so I didn’t have to wait a whole week to get my very painful back adjusted. The receptionist just repeated the policy. I asked if it was due to there being no other appointments available. “No”, she said. “It’s our policy”. I said okay because my back was in bad pain and I didn’t have much of a choice. I then told the receptionist that I was referred by my health insurance company and wanted to double check that they took my insurance. I was told yes. That answer agreed with my insurance company, all of the doctor profile websites and even their own website.
When I showed up a week later, I was greeted by someone calling himself “the Partner” of the doctor but he was actually just the salesman. I was taken into the exam room where he started describing all of the “state-of-the-art” diagnostic equipment that was going to tell us both exactly what was wrong with me. Along the way he kept mentioning how the chiropractor (who is his wife by the way) has won all of these awards, is an avid runner, “participated” in an Iron Man contest… bla bla bla. There were “Best Of” awards and plaques from local magazines all over the place. (Which can be bought with advertising. I know, I’m a small business owner.) He even mentioned TWICE that he also owned a digital marketing company. His sales pitch started to sound expensive. So I made it clear again that I was referred by my insurance company and that was the treatment I wanted. I could tell he heard me but didn’t want to dwell on that. So the state-of the-art diagnostic exam continued. He touched by back with a few gizmos, had me stand on two scales simultaneously with one foot on each and then did some X rays. I asked, “why more X rays? I just gave you a disk with very recent X rays”. He told me he’ll look at that later, but their imaging equipment is somehow better. The images that I supplied were done by a professional medical imagining department in a hospital. So he continued to talk real fast about how awesome the program is so I reminded him again that I thought I was there for an adjustment. Only then did he tell me that there would be no adjustment. I was very upset and had to press him to answer why. When he did answer he told me that it was state law that a doctor can’t perform treatment on a new patient during the first visit. I never heard this before and I’ve had treatment at a new-patient visit many times. I asked another doctor about this and she laughed. Another lie. So on my way out to make ANOTHER appointment I was billed $67 for the “diagnostics”. I didn’t say anything because I just wanted to make my appointment. I was told to come back at 6PM next Monday. That seemed a little late so I asked for something during the day. I was AGAIN told “only Mondays and Wednesday at 6PM”.
So now two weeks after beginning to try to get relief from an “award-winning tri-athlete chiropractor”, I show up at my appointment. And to my disgust, it was a %^#$ing seminar! The salesman went through the same sales pitch again but this time in front of the whole group of new patients that he talked into coming back for a “follow up appointment”. Except this time he had a Power Point presentation. Luckily he’s a fast-talker and his rehearsed routine only took 30 minutes. Oh, and he showed us a YouTube video of him “healing” some poor 14 yr. old third world kid named Carlos that was supposedly dropped on his head when he was two and has been in a wheelchair since. He gave him a quick neck adjustment and massaged his back a little and Carlos walked out. It’s called Chiropractic Without Borders Mission Trip. Look for yourself at how silly it is. Then he blamed 5G communications on poor health and claimed “countries are realizing this and shutting their 5G service down but not the US”. I looked that one up and that was a lie too.
So now it’s 6:30 and the presentation is over, each person was split up into separate offices and offered “investment packages”. He even wrote upside down like an insurance salesman, time-share salesman or a used car salesman. Talking real fast he started throwing around some pretty large figures and payment plans. So now it’s 7PM and It was only then that he finally admitted to me that they won’t perform the treatment that my health insurance provides through them. My only option was their expensive treatment and a $49 foam block for neck exercises. I suppose a doctor can choose to accept or deny any insurance provider they care to. But they advertise that do accept insurance but are only willing to sell you an investment. Don’t waste your time like I did.
