I was a little worried going to this clinic after ready all of the bad reviews but I’m glad I still decided to go. Yesterday was my first time here and it was a great experience. The reception lady that checked me in was very pleasant. My appointment was at 9am, I arrived at 8:45am, already filled out my new patient paperwork at home so all I had to do is hand it to the lady checking me in. I was called back to see the Dr at 9:00 ( my exact appointment time ) the nurse that called me back was very friendly. I waited maybe 5 mins for Dr. Chet Monder to come in. I had such an amazing appointment with Dr. Monder. From the moment he walked in he created me with a smile and was very nice and I can tell he cared. He was very thorough asking me my medical history and symptoms. He was also very thorough with the exam. He diagnosed me with Graves Disease and he was so informative, he even explained to me using the chart in his wall about what is happening with my thyroid and answered all of my questions and made sure I understood everything he was saying. Together we worked out a game plan to treat my thyroid and I left feeling very happy and confident with my decision to have him be my provider for my Graves’ disease. Never one did he make me feel like a number, he never once made me feel stupid, he also didn’t rush the appointment. He spent 45 mins with me and he also walked me to the check out desk and told the receptionist to schedule me back for 6 weeks. Dr. Chet Monder is a wonderful doctor.

I chose to see Dr. Monder because he seemed to have a good reputation in the endocrinology field. While he may be knowledgeable he is the worst doctor I have seen ever. I brought in extensive blood test results that were just done, lists of medications I was on, he never reviewed any of my information and just talked over me because he obviously knows better than anyone else. He tries to use scare tactics to make a point, is belittling and talked down to me during the three visits at the office and was incredibly rude. After a test result, I asked him what came next for my care, "pray to your god" was his response. Before I left he added that if I develop cancer down the road "don't call me, I will just say I told you so." thanks.

I have been seeing Dr Monder for about 8 years now. I was diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer and had a full thyroidectomy 8 years ago. The cancer moved to my right lymph node right after my surgery, so needless to say I had to go back end to surgery to have that removed 2 months after. I am in agreement with Maralina on the care I have been receiving from Dr Monder. I've been wanted to leave this practice for awhile, but since I'm only seeing him every so often for my ultrasounds and prescriptions I figured I just stay. Well this year I really think I am going to seek another Endo here in Arizona. The care is most definitely not up to the standards of all the awards he has gotten. He didn't even know what the scar was from on my neck, when he was the one that detected the swollen nodule there. He told me that I wasn't obese anymore, this was after I lost about 10 pounds after the passing of my mother, he told me to start concentration on myself and not others. I was so upset after that appt, I called my husband balling my eyes out. So I've decided that I can't continue to sit there and be treated and spoke to that way. I could go on and on. I just haven't been please with the treatment from a award winning doctor. Changing Endo ASAP.

Regardless of the education Dr. Monder supposedly has had, his interactions with patients is atrocious. Either he has too many patients or too much happening in his personal life for him to be attentive to you specifically. I had met with him over a period of about a year with the expectation that after a few visits, he would remember something about my situation. Instead, I had to constantly reintroduce myself and remind him about steps he had already taken. He also spent about 40 seconds in the exam room at each visit and never seemed to hear anything discussed. The most ridiculous conversation was during the last visit, he made sure to let me know he was rated "top doctor" or something in some magazine that apparently only doctors rate or suggest. Stupid. Needless to say, I "fired" him and have been seeing a general practitioner instead who has done a fantastic job, even though she is not an Endo. I will find another Endo frankly because a type 1 Diabetic should have the care but do yourself a favor and skip this doctor. In regards to the office staff, some of them seem slightly snotty though Dr.Monder's assistant was pretty sweet. She may have been the only reason I kept going for a year.
