Dr Currey provides EXCELLENT, "ABOVE PAR" optometrist service.
Eyeglass services - not so much. Taking Rx elsewhere...

I feel I was scammed.

I contacted Dr. Currey's office and explicitly asked if they worked with my insurance to proved the yearly glasses covered by my plan. I was assured that this was the case. However, Dr. Currey diagnosed me with glaucoma based on high intraocular pressure without doing due diligence to correct for my corneal thickness, leading to a year of anxiety I was going blind with a disease I later discovered I never had. Worse, Dr. Currey used this false diagnosis to justify expensive and unnecessary testing and then refused to provide my glasses as requested the following year, despite numerous phone calls and requests to do so. Avoid this doctor at all costs.

Staff and Dr. Currey, Jr. were professional and kind. The office was neat and clean. I wasn't given a return appt. card or a return appoint. date. I was not notified once I got home of the return appoint. I called the office for the return information. I am sure this was just human error. I will return and am encouraging my husband to make an appointment as well.
