Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1/3 cup sugar

  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 cup raisins

  • 2/3 cup buttermilk

  • 1/4 cup butter, melted

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

  • Mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt together. Add the raisins and mix again.

  • In a different bowl, mix the melted butter and buttermilk. Combine this liquid mixture with the flour mixture.

  • Spoon the dough onto a baking sheet, making 8 equal mounds. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until scones are golden. Serve.
