Dr. Jones is possibly the worst psychiatrists ever. He sent by husband out of the office with samples of Brintellix while he was on Wellbutrin. He wanted to replace Pristiq with this drug, and asked him to start tapering back on his Pristiq over the next two weeks. Never told him to go off Wellbutrin. Over the course of a week, he got sicker and sicker until he began to vomit. I began to think it might be associated with the new medication, so I began to Google side effects. Come to find out, Brintellix interacts with Wellbutrin. According to CVS, Dr. Jones should have known better than to prescribe the two together, because Wellbutrin acts as a catalyst and will increase Brintellix to toxic levels, which will cause vomiting, increased heart rate, etc. He is lucky he didn't kill him. Moreover, Dr. Jones tried to prescribe him Ambien for his sleep loss. Because he has dementia in his family, which Dr. Jones knows, he isn't a candidate for the drug because it will increase his chances of coming down with the disease by 40%. Finally, he should have considered that all the anti-depressants that he has him on could cause the loss of sleep (e.g. induce mania). He has him tapped out on Wellbutrin (450 mgs), Trazadone (100 mgs), and Pristiq (I think 50 mgs). I plan on reporting him to the state healing board. Avoid this doctor like the plague! Needs his medical license yanked!
