Worst rheumatologist I have ever encountered. After being asked four hours before my appointment to change the appointment time I had made three weeks ago because "the doctor wants to leave early today," I was made to wait for half an hour before he saw me and examined me for less than a minute. My right knee is swollen from an unrelated issue, and he completely missed it in his examination. He then called me a liar, saying I never had the disease I saw him for (when I was diagnosed by one of the best rheumatologists in the country) and sent me out the door with a request for lab tests for a lab my insurance doesn't even cover. He claims all the "real" RA patients he has are consistently in pain and it is a progressive disease - my wife made the point that he probably believes that because he's such a terrible doctor that all of his patients get worse, not better.

If your insurance refers you to him, ask for a different referral. He's uncaring, unknowledgeable, and needs to retire so he can stop hurting patients who come to him for help.
