Dr. Stabell's upbringing in central Africa, where his parents served as missionaries, inspired him to pursue a medical career. When he isn’t caring for patients, he enjoys singing in his church choir, playing guitar, taking photos of bugs and birds to share with others and spending time with his family.
Dr. Stabell earned his medical degree from Rush University Medical College in Chicago. He completed his internal medicine internship and residency at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke's Medical Center in Chicago.
He joined the U.S. Air Force, where he worked as a flight surgeon for three years. He then completed his infectious disease fellowship at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri.
