Before becoming a nurse practitioner, Andrea provided patient care at Norton Hospital on a medical/surgical floor. She went into nursing with the goal of becoming a nurse practitioner and a primary care provider. She enjoys primary care because it allows her to maintain and foster relationships with her patients through adulthood.
Andrea’s main clinical interests include preventive care, health maintenance and health promotion, as well as diabetes management and education, and minimizing cardiovascular risk factors. Amanda wants her patients to feel that they are working as a team to maintain health and troubleshoot any issues her patients are having.
