I have been seeing Jessica for almost 1 year now. Initially, she came off as friendly and empathetic. However, my impression changed as I continued seeing her.

Direct messaging through the portal is her preferred way of communication. I’ve made multiple attempts to reach out for medication refills. Her own office staff sent out several high priority messages. She continued to withhold my medication with zero communication.

As her patient, I should not have to beg and plead for treatment. Throughout my time with her, she has repeatedly ignored me despite claiming to have read my messages. This forced me to come to her office unnecessarily 3 times within the past month. This behavior is extremely disrespectful and unprofessional, and has cost me hundreds of dollars. This has been a very stressful and unpleasant experience for me.

Each time I came back, she made false promises while smiling and looking me straight in the eye but showed no empathy or remorse each time she failed to fulfill them. She usually works from home and comes to her office only on Thursdays, so you would think that she has extra time in the day since she doesn’t have to deal with traffic. I am having a hard time understanding why she is unable to fulfill her duty as my provider. I can’t tell if this is intentional or simply incompetence. I am in the process of finding a new psychiatrist, but this experience has made me feel discouraged.
