He also served as Chief of Pediatrics at the 20th Medical Group at Shaw AFB in Sumter, SC, and a Staff Pediatrician at the 6th Medical Group at MacDill AFB in Tampa, FL and at the 35th Medical Group at Misawa AFB in Misawa, Japan, providing compassionate care to military families.
Dr. Gibbons' journey into pediatrics began with his Medical School education at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in Charleston, SC, where he earned his Doctor of Medicine degree. He further honed his skills during his Pediatric Residency Program at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC, solidifying his passion for pediatric medicine.
