About

Southern Dental Center

As trained medical professionals, our dedication to maintaining a safe environment through rigorous infection control procedures is at our core. We know that moving forward our commitment to your safety will be even more important. While continuing to meet traditional CDC and OSHA requirements, we are adopting some new, additional protocols. For example, we might wear additional PPE, request you wear a mask to your appointment, or take your temperature upon arrival. We may also ask you to wash your hands, request you wait in a treatment room or your vehicle instead of the waiting room, or request that you call in payment after your appointment. Southern Dental Center is your go-to practice for comfortable, caring dental treatment. For questions about what we can do for you or to schedule an appointment, call our office at (912) 352-1032.

I had a cleaning here in Feb. 2020. I gave my NEW insurance card to the person who checked me in, she took it, scanned it, & returned it to me. They billed my OLD insurance company instead, which didn't pay (obviously). So they began billing me for the $63. I phoned Southern Dental with my NEW insurance info and thought that would get this claim paid. Wrong. They continued to bill the wrong insurance company, after speaking with the billing dept. many times over the last year, & giving them the correct information, I still cannot get the billing person to understand that she is billing the wrong company. I've even been on a 3-way call with my old insurance company and the person who does the billing - the insurance company even gave the billing person her personal fax # - and she STILL cannot seem to record the correct insurance info and file a claim with the right company. Today I get a collection notice from a collection company for the $63 plus interest. I paid it. I care about my excellent credit. Dr. Cupp, if you are reading this, I ask you to consider: if your billing person can't submit a correct claim on $63 - how is she submitting ones for $6,300? How much money is this idiot costing you? I would love to rationally and calmly discuss this with you.
