Yelena Spitzer, MD, is Director, Obstetric Anesthesiology Fellowship Program and Associate Professor, Anesthesiology at Montefiore Einstein. As a fellowship-trained Obstetric Anesthesiologist, Dr Spitzer has expertise in providing safe, pain relief and periprocedural care for patients throughout labor and delivery. She has special interests in enhanced recovery after cesarean deliveries, blood management for labor and delivery and morbidly adherent placentation. After obtaining her Bachelor of Arts from New York University in 2005, Dr Spitzer earned her Doctor of Medicine at the New York University School of Medicine in 2009. She remained at this institution to complete an internal medicine internship in 2010.
