A sought-after speaker, Dr. Kwartler has delivered local, national, and international invited presentations and taught courses concerning acoustic neuroma surgery, age-related hearing loss, hearing loss prevention, hearing rehabilitation, and the latest surgical treatments for profoundly deaf children and adults. He serves on international panels that evaluate the latest implantable and semi-implantable hearing devices. He also is integral in helping develop novel medical and surgical treatments for common ear problems. Dr. Kwartler is a contributing author for Medscape Reference, a peer-reviewed, online clinical reference tool.
Past President of the New Jersey Academy of Otolaryngology, Dr. Kwartler is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, New Jersey State Hearing Evaluation Council, North American Skull Base Surgery Society, American Neurotology Society, and New Jersey Speech, Language, and Hearing Association. He has been an advisor to the organization, Hearing Education Awareness for Rockers (HEAR).
Dr. Kwartler is the recipient of MDx Medical, Inc. Patients' Choice Awards and MDx Medical, Inc. Most Compassionate Doctor Awards for his outstanding care and services, including his bedside manner, approach to patient visits, follow-up care, availability for appointments, and courtesy of his office staff. Jed A. Kwartler, MD, is Director of Summit Health Otology/Neurotology. Recognized as a leading ear surgeon in the New York metropolitan area, Dr. Kwartler performed New Jersey's first cochlear implant in a child in 1993. He is an advocate for adults and children who are hard of hearing and he supports hearing testing for newborns.
