Dr. Jose I Acosta knew from a young age that he wanted to become a doctor. He states, “My interest in Medicine started when I was 8 years old and my father – who was a Pediatrician – started playing how to be a doctor with me, after Santa Clause gave me pretend doctor’s instruments.” Dr. Jose I. Acosta earned his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Camaguey, Cuba and his Doctorate Degree from the Instituto Superior de Ciencias Medicas de Camaguey, Cuba. From there, he completed his Pediatric Residency at Eduardo A. Pina Pediatrics Hopsital in Camaguey, Cuba. Specializing in Pediatrics, Dr. Acosta enjoys helping his patient and ensuring they receive the quality care they deserve. Dr. Acosta believes, “taking the time to really listen, building a relationship with your patients and collaborating with the child’s parents regarding their care as if they were family” is my motto.
