Despite the prevalence of pelvic floor disorders, Dr. Tate understands that many women feel uncomfortable discussing such an intimate condition. She believes in taking the time to address all of her patients concerns in a compassionate, comfortable environment founded upon trust and respect. She also believes in open communication and in partnering with her patients to find the best possible treatment to restore health and quality of life.
As a fellowship trained urogynecologist, Dr. Tate is skilled in providing both surgical and non-surgical solutions to pelvic floor disorders. Should surgery be required, she is trained in advanced laparoscopy and in robotic gynecologic surgery. Dr. Tate received her medical degree from the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine. Following a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Yale University School of Medicine, Dr. Tate completed a three-year fellowship in urogynecology and female pelvic reconstructive surgery at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. She completed post-baccalaureate pre-med courses at the University of Maryland and San Francisco State University. Dr. Tate also received the highest honors from the University of California, Davis for her undergraduate studies in International Relations and Russian Language.
Dr. Tate believes in giving back and served as a U.S. Peace Corp. volunteer in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan from 1994 to 1996. She also served as the project director for Doctors of the World in St. Petersburg, Russia from 1996 to 1997. Dr. Tate is fluent in Spanish and proficient in Russian. She currently finds joy in being a wife and mom of four boys.

Dr. Tate is a board certified urogynecologist with extensive experience in providing medical and surgical services to women.
