He then went on to serve his neurosurgical internship and residency at the University of Tennessee/Semmes Murphey Clinic under the tutelage of Dr. Jon H. Robertson, Dr. Frederick Boop, and Dr. Kevin Foley. He is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and the Congress of Neurological Surgeons.
