I first saw Dr. Allen after I had lost 25 pounds, was a skeleton and yellow and had been to the ER because I was so sick. They had determined it was my pancreas. So I followed up with a new internist, Dr Allen. She said I saw her for "psychological factors involved in health". The following year I started getting fevers and feeling awful. First she wrote that I had a "history of somatization", (hypochondria). Later she told me to stop taking my temperature and noted that she discussed "not checking her temperature multiple times per day unless she is feeling ill". Avoid. She seems to lean toward hypochondria and never treated any of my issues.

The older I get the more I find the importance for a doctor that will take the time to listen to my concerns and not feel rushed. Dr Caitlin Allen is amazing and I'm so happy to of found her. Dr Allen sat with me, listened to my concerns, asked questions to make sure she understood then and came up with a solution. She is very knowledgeable and put my worried mind at ease, a very good bedside manner. Not that I like going to the doctor, but I know I'm in very caring expert hands for future visits with Dr Allen.
