About
Dr. Thompson grew up in Abernathy, Texas, located in the Panhandle outside Lubbock, and obtained her undergraduate degree from Texas Tech University. Her father and both grandfathers were cotton farmers, and one of her first jobs was hoeing weeds! After graduating from medical school near the top of her class at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, and following her internship and residency at the prestigious University of Alabama at Birmingham, she settled in the Lakewood area of Dallas in 1993. She subsequently moved to McKinney in 2007 to become the Medical Director for Questcare Hospitalists at Medical City McKinney.
Dr. Thompson is an avid scuba diver and underwater photographer. She enjoys travelling to remote areas to dive. She has 2 schnoodles, Maci and Luna who keep her entertained.

Dr. Mandy Thompson is an internist with 26 years of both inpatient and outpatient experience. She worked as a hospitalist for 18 years and the remainder has been in an office-based primary care setting.
