Daniel DiMarco

Dr. DiMarco is the medical director of the AHN St. Vincent Medical Group Wound Care Centers.

Dr. DiMarco's interests and expertise are in venous stasis ulcers, arterial wounds, pressure injuries, diabetic foot ulcers, non-healing surgical wounds, burns, and many other difficult to heal open sores. He also specializes in hyperbaric medicine, which uses oxygen to treat chronic wounds and radiation injuries.

Born and raised in Erie, Dr. DiMarco went on to receive his medical degree from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Missouri. He returned home to complete his residency at Erie Metropolitan Hospital. He began his medical career as a family care physician, and also treated patients at urgent care. After 10 years, he moved to working full time in a local emergency department. Eight years later, he was presented the opportunity to train in wound care under Dr. Thomas Serena, who is internationally known for his contributions to the wound care specialty.

Dr. DiMarco has been treating patients at the St. Vincent Wound Care Center for over 11 years. He enjoys participating in wound care research, and has been a co-investigator on several published studies in Journal of American Medical Association and Lancet.

When he is not helping patients, Dr. DiMarco is an avid hunter and outdoorsman.
