ABOUT KETAMINE
Ketamine has been used for anesthetic purposes since 1970s. Recent studies show Ketamine Infusion Therapy is highly effective for treating and preventing major depression, fibromyalgia, PTSD, Complex Regional Pain Syndrome and anxiety. It has been show to be about 70% effective.
About Dr. McKenzie
Dr. Jana McKenzie received graduated from New York College Of Osteopathic Medicine in 2012. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, Newark NJ in 2016 and continues to maintain her Board Certification. After completing residency she has worked as an Academic Hospitalist/Quality Improvement Specialist, and currently works as a Nocturnist Hospitalist. She has been exposed to patients from all walks of life. She has observed the limitations of currently available medications with their many side effects. This triggered her interest in using Ketamine as an adjunct. She values her doctor/patient relationships immensely and is constantly striving for refined care as well as the best outcomes. She has practiced hospital medicine for several years and has honed in on perfecting those skills, but her passion has always been outpatient medicine. Simply Me Infusion Center will allow her the ability to develop and maintain long lasting relationships. She plans to integrate well rounded care into her practice with all patients being under the direct care of a psychiatrist or psychologist to improve results and longevity of symptom relief.
