Kindred’s Transitional Care Hospitals (licensed as acute care hospitals) specialize in the treatment and rehabilitation of the complex medical patient, as well as the post-intensive care patient requiring an extended stay in an acute care hospital setting.
• Our hospitals are unique in their ability to care for these severely ill patients through specialized, aggressive, goal-directed care. We offer 24-hour physician support and the ancillary services found at an acute care hospital, including laboratory, radiology, pharmacy, operating or procedure rooms, ICU/special care units and telemetry units. Our clinical expertise covers a range of medical services, such as pulmonary care (ventilator management and weaning), complex wound care, dialysis, IV antibiotic therapy, pain management and more.
