This apartment complex is a part of the housing ministry of the Diocese of Little Rock, and offers those persons over 62 or those who are disabled a safe, affordable living situation. Christopher Homes is HUD subsidized, meaning tenants only pay 30% of the rent and utilities, and we attempt to make this cost affordable by offering all electric 0 or 1 bedroom units. Some apartments have garden patios available, and accommodations can be made for those with mobility impairments. The manager is on duty at least 15 hours a week to address any concerns, and all apartment maintenance (water, lawn care, appliances, etc) is available at no cost to the resident. Each apartment is energy efficient and comes with central heating and cooling, kitchens equipped with an electric range and refrigerator and emergency pull cords. Additionally, coin-operated laundry rooms are available to residents. There is a community room for games and events, allowing residents the opportunity of a healthy social life. Christopher Homes of Camden makes it possible for the elderly to enjoy an independent living situation in an affordable way, while maintaining a standard of care to put the minds of families at rest.
