Dr. Malkin graduated from University of Buffalo School of Medicine, and completed his residency training in psychiatry at St. Vincent’s Manhattan Medical Center. He is a Diplomate of American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and a member of the American Psychiatric Association.

Dr.Malkin’s passion for psychiatry began in medical school, where he realized his calling was to help patients lead happier and more productive lives. His approach to treatment includes psychotherapeutic techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy, rational-emotive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, psychopharmacology and life coaching – various tools which he uses to help his patients overcome their difficulties in order to fulfill their personal and professional potential.Dr Malkin approaches every patient as a unique individual. In addition to treating conditions such as Major Depressive, Anxiety, Panic, Bipolar and Obsessive Compulsive Disorders, Dr. Malkin’s special area of expertise is Attention Deficit Disorder (ADHD). Drawing from his extensive experience in treating ADHD as a college counseling center psychiatrist, Dr. Malkin helps patients with ADHD in all walks of life.
