James Egede, PhD, LMHC
James C. Egede Sr. is the founder and director of Jaycee Consulting and Psychotherapy. He has a Ph.D. in psychology from City University of New York (CUNY) and has a New York State License to practice counseling and psychotherapy. As founder and director, doing business as Jaycee Consulting and Psychotherapy, Dr. Egede brings more than twenty-five years of mental health knowledge and expertise to his work with couples, individuals, and families. He has advanced and extensive post-graduate training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and continues to update his skills with continuing education and well attuned peer networking and support. In addition, he is an associate member of the American Psychological Association (APA) and the International Center For Excellence in Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy (ICEEFT).He specializes in couple and relationship issues – including but not limited to - marital, pre-marital, divorce, and separation.
