Kindred Hospital - Las Vegas at St. Rose Dominican Hospitals - Rose de Lima Campus is located on the campus of St. Rose Dominican Hospitals. Known as a "Hospital in a Hospital" (HIH), the 28-bed Rose de Lima campus of Kindred Hospital is part of Kindred Healthcare's nationwide network of transitional care hospitals. Our hospital offers six private rooms dedicated to intensive care.

The HIH care model enhances the close and collaborative working relationship that a transitional care hospital such as Kindred has with a short-term acute care (STAC) hospital such as St. Rose Dominican. Kindred Hospital provides specialized long-term acute care to medically complex patients who require continued care and extended recovery time. Most of these long-term acute care patients are referred from STAC hospitals. Having an onsite transitional care hospital benefits the host hospital by allowing easier placement of patients who have specialized, long-term acute care needs.

Kindred Hospital Rose de Lima provides medical/surgical beds for our high-acuity patients who require an extended stay in an acute care hospital setting. Additionally, our hospital provides intermediate care (IMC) with a four-to-one nurse to patient ratio for higher acuity patients. Our hospital is accredited by The Joint Commission.

Services Kindred Hospital provides aggressive, specialized care to patients who need extended hospital stays. Our patients have serious medical conditions, often many at the same time, requiring a coordinated, specialized approach, directed by physicians, to meet their daily medical needs.

Our patients are medically complex and often need an array of medical services. We provide care through an interdisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, rehabilitation and respiratory therapists and other support staff. Kindred has experience and expertise in a wide variety of care including:

pulmonary care (ventilator management and weaning)
complex wound care
rehabilitation (transitional or subacute care)
dialysis
IV antibiotic therapy

Everyone at kindred DeLima were exceptional. Maria CNA is just a sweetheart. I loved every nurse that came into my room. My physician was great with answering questions and making me feel comfortable. I am happy to say I went home after my stay and I know a large part of that was due to the care I received here. Everything went smoothly from start to finish. Many thanks for all you do every day. What a special group you have here.

I have to say my experience with Kindrid has been exceptional from beginning to end! The Physician team I've had is phenomenal!!! Never in my life, (and I've had a lot of admissions to different hospitals, with my chronic conditions) but never have I had any doctor as compassionate, caring, and invested in my case as my team! They have educated me on my condition, involved me in the treatment plan and even though my case was difficult and challenging at best they never gave up on me, and for that I am forever grateful. Now on to the Nurses I could say all of the above with them as well. Very caring and comforting and they all work as a team. They worked diligently to keep my pain under control, were prompt answering the call lights and very friendly. They also catered to me and my family and also kept us involved in my care. At times I felt like a burden to a couple of Nurses but we collaborated on a plan and that soon resolved. I also was very pleased with Respiratory therapy they were all very personable and a pleasure to interact with. They kept my sats and O2 well monitored and safe. They also answered call lights promptly and always went the extra mile if it was something they could help with. Even the environmental service team, especially Ms Ruth were always very pleasant, with a smile on their face and always making sure I had the essentials I needed and took pride in making my room clean and safe. Even the Case Managers, Nursing supervisors, patient advocate and admin have been strongly involved in my care always making sure my needs and pain have been addressed. When there were a few isolated issues they were always quickly involved and immediately resolved the issue. Lastly I can't forget physical and occupational therapy they have been key in my rehabilitation and growth development in getting healthy! I had an amazing rapport with the entire PT/OT team! They are the reason I've progressed as well as I have. Every push to go harder and do better has challenged me to be my best. Overall I don't have any negative feedback for this facility and admission. I was pleasantly surprised with the staff here at kindred, hospital DeLima. They are friendly, attentive, cooperative and truly care about the patients. Overall I have no complaints... it was the best care I've ever had. I am forever grateful to all the staff for saving my life, and making me as comfortable and healthy as possible.
